"I know I go back to it often in my reviews, but there is no denying how vital Darren Criss and Chris Colfer’s acting is to the emotional resonance of the Klaine scenes during this break-up arc. This could’ve gone terribly wrong in a few ways. It’s Chris’s knowing little smiles that stop Kurt from appearing heartless, like he’s just using Blaine because he’s convenient. Darren’s chuckling and eyerolling and fond, knowing looks stop Blaine from coming off as naïve and delusional. They both know exactly where they are and what they are to each other. They also know that it isn’t their time quite yet. But they know that they’ll get there."
